Features: 8 levels, level selection, controllable minion character, wrote a dialogue script as the devil which is prominent throughout, made use of a Unity tile map prefab brush that can paint trampoline, cannon, spike and lava tiles directly onto a level allowing rapid creation of levels. 4 limitation cards - slow down, speed up, opposite controls and tired eyes. The Idea: The theme for the jam was hell and the limitation was that cards must be a mechanic. The idea behind the game is that its a memory game at its core, every tile in each level can either be good or bad and during the pan of the level at the start the user must memorize the correct path to take. To make use of the jams limitation of cards having to be a mechanic the user is forced to choose 2 out of 3 hell cards that are randomly given at the start of the level. All cards have negative effects. How It Works: The user must memorize the correct path to take collecting all treasure before making it to the end. Extras: Results - Placed 5th for Concept, 7th for Enjoyment, 10th for Overall, 12th for Presentation and 20th for Use of the Limitation. The game can be viewed and played here. |
