AboutPlatform: Windows
Engine/Language: C++, SFML 2.4.0. Development Time: 3 months. Roles: Programmer, Designer, Artist, Audio. Purpose: For Games Programming at Abertay University. Features: Options Menu, Full story system, Re-playable style game, Shop system with 4 items, All artwork created by myself. The Idea: The idea behind Tophat Terror came from a game I used to play called Potty Racers. The style of game is a launcher style game where the player tries to get as far as they can and slowly upgrades their character to be able to get further. How It Works: The user is able to control the playable character using A and D. The user must attempt to bounce on as many enemies as possible as this reduces the players speed the least. If the player hits the ground their speed is reduced drastically. As the player makes it further into the game the spawn rate of the enemies slowly begins to reduce. When the player fails they have the option to go into a shop, the shop has 4 items that can upgrade the player and help them get further. Extras: I received an A+ for this application. Everything in this game was created by myself from artwork to audio and was my first time making a game in SFML. |
